2021 INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY: HON MRS JANE ENEH OUTSTANDING, WORTHY OF EMULATION

The Story of Hon Mrs Jane Eneh is a story that will motivate every young women to step up in their game.

Hon Eneh ,is a teacher, compassionate leader and staunch politician,stands out as as one of such women who are ambitious and courage. Eneh is a native of Agbudu in Awgu LGA of Enugu State. She had her primary and secondary education at Zik Avenue Primary School, Uwani and Nachi Girls High School, respectively.

She holds a B.Ed in Accounting Education from the Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT), Enugu.
Mrs Eneh is one of the women who are always hard working, patience, render selfless service and always dedicate to duty. From her humble beginning as the Personal Assistant to the Chairman, Enugu State Universal Basic Education Board (ENSUBEB), a position offered to her on the basis of her dedication to duty and selflessness. Hon Eneh rose to the position of PDP Zonal Woman Leader, Enugu West Senatorial Zone, in an apparent meteoric rise, which was later justified by her rare leadership skills and capacity which she brought to bear on her role as woman leader within a few months of taking over ascending to the office.

Mrs Eneh was able to galvanise the women of Enugu West into action and mobilise their support which the Party (PDP) leveraged on to win critical elections at the time. She did not stop at that – she also stimulated and inspired Christian Mothers’ Organisation in her community and beyond into a synergy towards improved co-operation and greater achievements.

Hon Eneh good leadership had a tremendous impacted many lives across in Awgu and some of parts of Enugu west. Her loyalty , humbleness and leadership sagacity has continued to distinguish her different over other leaders.

Her ground-breaking accomplishments saw her rise through to become Commissioner, Enugu State Independent Electoral Commission (ENSIEC) and even higher to the enviable position of Acting Chairman of the Commission. At every position she find herself, Hon Mrs Eneh always make groundbreaking achievements.

It was therefore not surprising that political leaders in the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and other key stakeholders in Awgu North State Constituency, chose Hon. Eneh to represent the area in the state legislative Assembly considering her wealth of experience and contributions to the development of Enugu state.

Like leaders who came on board when the people are in dire need of someone to direct them, the Chief Whip also came at a time when the people of Awgu North are in need of a strong voice at the state Assembly, outspoken and fearless voice to speak for them and one who can also draw state government attention to their domain.

There is no doubt that this outstanding female politician from Agbudu in Awgu LGA has demonstrated enough courage that indicated that she was prepared to address the yearnings of her constituents through quality representation. Being the Chief Whip of the House has indeed placed her on a vantage position to better the plights of Awgu people.

Worried by the rising cases of kidnapping and killing of Enugu indigenes in Some parts of Awgu North, Hon. Eneh didn’t hesitate to co-sponsor a motion on the floor of the House calling on the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, to intensify security to curtail unwarranted kidnapping and mindless killings of Ndi Enugu by marauding herdsmen.

Like Oliver Twist, in a bid to do more, the energetic and indefatigable lawmaker, conducted Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi round the forests in Awgu Local Government Area, which incidentally serves as a hideout for the criminal elements terrorising the state, to ensure that the length and width of Awgu land is secure again.

To demonstrate her compassion to workers in Enugu state, Hon. Mrs. Eneh has promised to improve their welfare through the House Committee on Civil Service, Labour and Pension Matters, which she is chairing. This is an indication that the legislator also considers civil servants as part of her constituents.

Moral Lesson: The Secret behind Hon Mrs Eneh Achievements is Prayer, Humble, Hardworking, Loyalty and above all selflessness .
