Anambra polls: PDP chieftain expresses confidence in INEC

A Chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party in Akwa Ibom State, Senator Anietie Okon, has expressed confidence that the Independent National Electoral Commission would not compromise the November 6 Anambra Governorship election.

Okon said this in Uyo, while speaking with newsmen about the forthcoming elections.

He said, “The Anambra election is coming up on November 6 and INEC has vowed to deploy modern technology in order to conduct a free, fair and credible election.

“They have also told Nigerians that they are ready to conduct elections in Anambra state despite the security situation, and nobody should express any doubt about that.

“I have confidence that INEC will not compromise the Anambra election, having conducted successful, free, fair elections in some states. INEC transmitted results electronically in Edo and Ondo states and I believe that they will do the same in Anambra state”.
