APC urges Ondo youths to embrace peace, dialogue

The Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has urged youths in the state to embrace peace by availing themselves of opportunities for dialogue and avoid acts of hooliganism and vandalism following in the aftermath of the #EndSARS protests.

State chairman of the party, Ade Adetimehin, said this on Saturday when he led members of the APC State Working Committee to assess the level of damage done to the state party secretariat in Akure, by hoodlums who infiltrated the hitherto peaceful #EndSARS protests on Wednesday.

While urging the youths to sheath their swords, Adetimehin said,  “Our appeal is to all stakeholders to assist the state chapter to rebuild the secretariat, to ensure the smooth running of APC activities in Ondo State.”

He also appealed to APC members and sympathisers to exhibit high levels of caution, and called for support for the state government, “particularly in this trying period,” to promote speedy recovery from the pains caused by the “unprecedented degree of destruction.”
