BREAKING: Buhari holds dinner with senators today

The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), has invited members of the Senate to a dinner at the Presidential Villa today (Tuesday) by 8pm.

Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, read the President’s letter on the floor of the Senate at the commencement of plenary.

Lawan asked his colleagues to arrive the Senate wing of the National Assembly for take off to the Villa by 7pm.

Meanwhile, the President, also on Tuesday, forwarded the 2022-2024
Medium Term Expenditure and Fiscal Strategy Paper for the consideration of the lawmakers.

The Senate subsequently suspended its Order to enable the chamber consider the request before the parliament annual vacation.

The Senate President therefore referred the communication to the committee on Finance for necessary legislative action.
