Cristiano Ronaldohas broken his silence after Juventus‘ Champions League elimination at the hands of Porto by defiantly stating that this is the time for the Bianconerito get back on their feet.
There have been rumours that the 36-year-old could leave Juventus after this latest failure in Europe, with a return to Real Madrid even mooted, but he has posted a message on social media for his followers.
More important than the number of falls you take in life, is how fast and how strong you get back on your feet… True champions never break!” Cristiano‘s Instagram post began.
“Our focus is already in Cagliari, in the Serie A struggle, in the Italian Cup final and in everything that we can still achieve this season.
“It’s true that the past belongs in museums (I should say!), but fortunately, football has [a] memory… and so do I!
“History can’t be deleted, it’s written every single day with resilience, team spirit, persistence and lots of hard work.
“And those who don’t understand this, will never achieve glory and success.”
Curiously, there have been reports in Italy in the last few hours that Juventus would be prepared to let Cristiano leave for just 29 million euros.
