EASY RECIPE FOR the very tasty OFE EDE

Ofe ede is a very porpular soup in the eastern part of Nigeria ,it is prepared with mainly cocoyam and vegetables. Here is an easy recipe for preparing it:

Ingredients

  1. 1/2 cup Palm oil
  2. 0.3 kg dry fish
  3. 0.6 kg chicken
  4. 0.4 kg beef
  5. 1/2 cup chop onions
  6. 1 tablespoon crayfish
  7. to taste Salt
  8. 2 ajino spice
  9. 0.25 kg cocoyam(blended)
  10. 1 teaspoon pepper
  11. 0.2 kg stockfish
  12. 0.2 kg oha vegetable

Steps

  1. Place a pot on a heat source
  2. Add chicken, beef, fish, and stockfish, onions and 1.5 cup of water, boil for 10 for minutes
  3. Add oil and boil for 5 minutes
  4. Add blended cocoyam and boil for 10 minutes
  5. Add crayfish, ajino spice, pepper, salt to taste and boil for 7 minutes
  6. Add oha vegetable and boil for 12 minutes
  7. Stir and serve with pounded yam, garri, fufu or any swallow of your choice.
