EKWEREMADU RECEIVES PAKISTAN NATIONAL PARLIAMENT OVER IPU PRESIDENTIAL SEAT

A Former Deputy President of the Senate, Ike Ekweremadu, had over the Weekend welcomed a delegation of the National Pakistan Parliament in his residence.

The Senator who took to his Social Media page, said that this delegate had visited Nigeria with hope to earn support for the Chairman of Pakistan Senate, Muhammad Sanjrani, who is Contesting for the Presidential position of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).

“The IPU is a veritable platform for global peace, socio-political relations, and parliamentary diplomacy.”, the Senator wrote.

The post thus reads:

At the weekend, I received a delegation of the National Parliament of Pakistan, which was in Nigeria to seek support for the Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan, Senator Muhammad Sanjrani, who is vying for the presidency of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, (IPU).

The delegation was led by the Chairman, Committee on Foreign Affairs, Senate of Pakistan, Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed and the Acting High Commissioner of Pakistan to Nigeria, Mr. Aamir Habib Abbasi.

The IPU is a veritable platform for global peace, socio-political relations, and parliamentary diplomacy.
