Enugu state will train 5,000 Ndi Enugu youths  on skill Acquisition  masterclasses- Offiah 

Enugu State Government through the office of the SPA to Governor  on Small and medium-size Enterprises (SME) has announced the  training of 5, 000 Ndi Enugu youths on  Enugu Skill Acquisition Masterclass ( ESAM Plus),  to help them in Financial Literacy; Fashion; Technology; Healthcare ; Agriculture Value Chain etc.


According to the organizers, “it is where you gain access and learn from experts who have mastered the strings of building a successful fashion business free of charge; to promote SDG.

The program which is Titled  “Fashion-Building the commercial dream”  is geared toward  providing support to burgeonin/developing youth entrepreneurs to learn from the mistakes and successes of established entrepreneurs in said fields.

Enugu State Government through the Agency has put together the  Enugu Skill Acquisition Masterclass ( ESAM Plus),  to help Ndi-Enugu small business owners in the fashion industry grow, gain access and learn from experts who have mastered the strings of building a successful fashion business free of charge.

The Aim of the ESAM  according the Agency is to promote SDG 1 which is  No Poverty and SDG 8 which is  Decent work and Economic Growth according to World Bank Standard


According to the  Technical  Assistant to Enugu state government on projects manager  , investment promotion Enugu SME , Salem Emmunuel who stated in interview , he said   “the   Acquisition Masterclass Plus is designed to impact over 5,000 Ndi Enugu youth  and would be in Financial Literacy; Fashion; Technology; Healthcare ; Agriculture Value Chain etc.


“The programe  commenced  this June 2021 and is intended to provide Masterclass Training in different capacities by “Private Sector Mentors” that have been successful in said capacity” he said

The event which was  anchored  by salem Emmanuel is a  deep explosion in the fashion business and was attended  by fashion makers ,experts  who have mastered the strings of building a successful fashion business.

Following an  indept teaching, training and demonstrations from experts which was kicked off from Orinma Ottah the co founder  and creative director of ladybeellionaire with  a topic titled right steps to breaking barriers  as a young fashioned  enthusiastes.

The section was an  interactive  one with orinma who  highlighted  more  on fashion, undastanding your environment,  creativity consistency  capital and resources .
In her word, ” Been an enthusiasts in a particular field is embodied in fashion to create, fashion explore,fashion to  undastand the part you have chosen to trend, fashion been  a world of  its own, recycling and still on  scratched in Nigeria,  you can carve out your own niche successfully” she stated


Concluding  the teaching and training  section,  Ngozi Okochi, started her teaching with an emphasis  on fashion marketing  and visual  merchandising, she said “fashion marketing is an act of finding  the right audience for products,  attracting them and convincing  them to purchase your product” in her word.


She went further, divided  her teaching into two factions, attracting the audience,  and converting  the audience. In her deep explanation,  she said ,in  attracting the audience,   what you need to look out for is  locations,  social  media pricing, team aesthetic, visual  merchandising,  partnership quality. And   in converting  the audience to clients, what uou need to look out for  is customer service  and over all user experience,value for  their money.

The participants  appreciated  the programme and thanked the Enugu state government and Enugu SME  centre for organizing such programs .
Earlier in an opening Remark, Mr Arinze Chilo Offiah, the SPA  to Governor  on SME, who declared the event open, thanked the audience  for coming and also assured  them that this is just to assure them of the flag off from the  great things to happen in fashion space.


He retreated his interest to ensure that Ndi Enugu youths are equiped with the right skill for the 21st century job.
