GOVt,INDUSTRIEs CAN Not provide jobs for everyone, Our people should Understand the importance  of trade and skills – ENUGU LAWMAKER

Enugu State House of Assembly member, representing  Awgu south state constituency, Hon Johnson Okwudilichukwu Chukwuobasi has  urged the youths and other persons in the state to undastand  the importance  of trade and skill and leverage on it,  as government and industries  can no longer provide  jobs for every Nigerians.

Stating that youths needs to redirect  their mindset of youths always thinking   that white colar jobs is for everyone,  and begin to undastand the importance of  skills and trade  in the economy  of Nigeria  today inorder to salvage  the country’s  current  situation. 

He maintained  that the government and industries no longer have the capability  to  recruit or absorb the teaming youths  who are unemployed .

“The best thing to do is for youths to begin to nose drive into those skills that could be giving them small small earnings and when they have done this, it will reduce unemployment,  it will reduce insecurity and also reduce poverty. 

“Life is all about been creative and creativity  is all about life,  there are no white  colar jobs again, the youths should decease  from waiting endlessly  and seek other means of employment to enable them better their lives and the lives of their family members.

He  stressed on the need  for youths to leverage on the  various opportunity  programs,   been made available for them by both the federal, state and  local  government  to create jobs for themselves 

“For example, the  Hon Johnson youths with skills and trade support  Maiden programmes   which is about to kick- off in awgu as   initiated by my humble self, i intended to capture at least 100 people in this first phase 50 youths and 50 women across the six wards in Awgu  south state constituency 

“These are the kind of programes, they should be nosing  for and utilizing, rather than waiting  on the government  for employment.

“Thousands  of youths out there, are waiting for government paid jobs, while so many support and skills Acquisition  programs  are passing them by.

“youths needs to redirect  their mindset of always thinking   that white colar jobs is for everyone,  and begin to undastand the importance of  skills and trade  in the economy  of Nigeria  today inorder to salvage  the country’s  current  situation” he stated.

He reasured the youths of a better tomorrow,  if they are ready to retrace their steps and go back to skills and trade  stating that the  functionality, growth and development of any community lies on the youths

Adding that their active participation in skills and businesses  could be a better means of reducing youth restiveness and reduction of poverty in the society. 

 
He therefore called on Awgu youths and women residing and doing business Awgu to get  involve  in forthcoming “Hon Johnson youth with skills and trade support  program” coming up on the friday 9th july 2021 at Awgu  local government headquarters 
Which requires them to pick forms from  Awgu Local government Council Headquarters,  Office of the Chairman’s SPA on special duties.  C/o Mr Euzibus Okolo. From Monday 5th July 2021 for the  collection  of forms as selection of beneficiaries shall be  strictly on completion of the application form. Stating that  qualified youths  will be contacted on or before 8th July.
