He however admonished the students (Beneficiaries) to maintain optimal diligence to their studies, stating that Education is one of the greatest gifts that one can give oneself. He asked them not to loose focus. Keep you head in the game”, Otaka preached.
An elated beneficiary, one of the thirty-six, Miss Ekwe Edith Chinyere, communicated her elation and gratitude to God, Otaka Foundation as well as the crooner, praying for their continuous blessing on every side.
“The God that gave him the wisdom to bring about this program today, and remembered the students in his agenda, that God will continue to bless him and the pocket where the money comes from will never run dry and he will continue to represent Aninri in a bigger way, Amen”. Ekwe prayed.
Sen. Ike Ekweremadu who was present at the event, in his speech of commendation, lauded Okwu, calling a true son.
He commended Otaka for his qualitative representation of Aninri at the state house, saying that he and the good people of Aninri are immensely proud of his works, “if we have the opportunity, Aninri will send him again”. Ekweremadu said.
Appreciating the Clergy for their prayers, Ekweremadu reiterated that it is by God’s grace that most of these works are being fulfilled.
Having thanked the Federal Government for their quick response to the insecurity situation of Nigeria, he urged persons to comply with the authorities to ensure the safety of both lives and properties.
Prior to the presentation of the bursary Cheque, Ekweremadu admonished the benefactors to embrace Hardwork especially in their academics, desisting cheating, cultism and crime of any sort.
“Education is one of the surest platform that gives you an avenue to compete globally, Your education is yours to keep forever, do not joke with it.” He concluded.
