THE Deputy Minority leader, house of representative, Rt. Hon. Toby Okechukwu has expressed his grief as well as his condolences to the Family of the late Enugu state commissioner for transportation, Late. Hon. Mathias Ekweremadu.
The deceased was, up until his demise, the Enugu state commissioner for transportation. He had prior to that, served in the good capacities of Chairman, Aninri local government council, Chief Whip, Enugu state house of Assembly, amongst other principal political and public offices.
He however, was confirmed on the 4th of February 2021 at the Niger Foundation hospital Enugu, he was subsequently buried on Friday, 5th March 2021.
Okechukwu had penned down a heartfelt letter of condolence addressed to the older brother of the deceased and a former deputy president of the Senate, Sen. Ike Ekweremadu.
The letter thus reads;

I deeply commiserate with your Excellency and the entire Ekweremadu’s family over the demise of late Hon. Mathias Ekweremadu Jr, OON
The news of the death of HON. Mathias came to me as a shock, it was least expected but what can one do but accept it, hon. Mathias was a man endowed with enviable leadership skills, his passion for transformation politics was a successful man in business, politics and leadership.
Ezeigbo was a fervid Community leader and grass-root politician, he was the Council chairman, Aninri LGA, chief whip of the Enugu State house of assembly and Commissioner for transport, Enugu State government,
His death is indeed a loss not only to your family, but to Enugu State and Aninri LGA, as we mourn his demise, pray that God grants us the fortitude to bear the loss.
