There are just six matchdays left in LaLiga Santander and the title race is still so close, with Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Sevilla all vying to come out on top.
Los Rojiblancos remain top after beating Huesca 2-0 on Thursday evening, which took their points tally up to 73 for the season. Los Blancos in second place, meanwhile, beat Cadiz 3-0 on Wednesday night to pile the pressure on their cross-city rivals, who they trail by three points.
Barcelona have a game in hand
Barcelona were also able to emerge victorious, as they won 5-2 against Getafe in the late kick off on Thursday. They are a further two points behind Real Madrid, but they do have a game in hand over the rest of the teams in the top four.
And then there is Sevilla in fourth, with the Andalusians on 67 points – one less than Barcelona – after beating Levante on Wednesday.
This weekend, Matchday 32 in LaLiga Santander, will see Real Madrid play Real Betis, Villarreal host Barcelona, Sevillawelcome Andalusian neighbours Granada to the Estadio Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan and finally Athletic Club will face Atletico Madrid at San Mames.
