UAE envoy hails Nigeria’s achievements despite COVID-19

The Consul General of the United Arab Emirates, Dr Abdulla Al Mandoos, has commended the efforts of Nigerians in 2020 despite the challenges and expressed the hope for a better 2021.

In a statement, Al Mandoos expressed satisfaction over Nigeria’s achievements in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic that negatively affected the citizens and the nation’s economy.

He expressed optimism that the New Year would bring peace, happiness, stability, greater success and a complete post-pandemic revival for the beautiful people of Nigeria, saying, “Every challenge is an opportunity, a chance to grow and a lesson to learn.”

The statement read in part, “The Consul General of the United Arab Emirates in Lagos, Dr Abdulla Al Mandoos commemorates the efforts of Nigerians against the challenges in 2020 and has expressed hopes of a better year come 2021.”
